I interrupted the ios 6 software update on my iphone 3gs?

And now the screen is black, the apple logo is flashing, and i don't know what to do and i'm frustrated because the stupidest things always happen to me with my iphone and i'm tired of the stupid things that don't happen to anyone else, so if you don't have a successful solution, please don't bother to answer, thanks.

Try restoring it.

You have to re-set your phone hold down the home button and the power button at the same time hold for about 15 sec. After you do that to update your phone do not plug it in your computer do it off your phone go to settings -general -and look for software update click that plug your phone in the wall socket not your computer and then let it run it's course it will take about 30 to 45 mins stay calm let it do its job hope this helps.

I'd never held the home button down while connecting the cable, so maybe you've never heard of this either.

I had to do a complete restore, which means I lost some data, but it solved the problem when nothing else would.

This happened to me as well… It looks like I'm going to have to restore but when I plug it into itunes to restore, it doesn't' even recognize the phone… How do I restore it without itunes?
