I jail broke my iPhone 4. If I update it to iOS 6, will the jailbreak go away?

I jail broke my iPhone and I want to update to iOS 6. Will it get rid of the jailbreak? I don't care if it does.

I've heard if you update with a jailbreak it breaks your phone, like none of your apps work, is this true?

You will lose the jailbreak but you will not brick it (ithink)

If you update your phone to IOS 6 then you will lose your Jailbreak.

It will show cydia and all the other apps you have but they won't work which will result in you having to wipe the phone of all apps / games etc

It will get rid of the jailbreak but will not break your phone. You lose the jailbroken apps that you have yes since it is not jailbroken. I would say keep the jailbroken and just google "cydia tweaks" you want to add to your jailbroken phone rather than update to ios 6
