I just bought a used ipod 6th gen from the flea market and it needs to be unlocked by the original owner. Is there a way to bypass this?

I tried reatoring it through itunes by holding down the home and power button but still requires the original user sign in. Is there anyway i can get around this or remove it through itunes or apple support?

Let me rephrase your question.

"I just bought a stolen iPod. I do not want to return it to it's rightful owner because I'm a sleaze bag. How do I jail break it without letting Apple Support turn me into the local police?"

Hope that helps.

No, there's no way to bypass this. It was likely stolen. Take it to your local police station and give them any info you have on the seller.

I've heard that you can reflash it using the I tune app but Apple devices are made so that you can't get into them until the original owner goes online to his account and marks your device as sold. This is to prevent theft. If you get a stolen Apple device they're generally worthless.
