IPhone 6 recently did with iOS 13 so you've got at least 2-3 years
Don't worry about it. Manufacturers make gadgets future-proof to a certain level so you can be sure whatever software or apps it has right now can be upgraded to the newer versions in the next couple of years or so. What you should worry about is programmed obsolescence. Factories make sure your gadget won't last that long. Gone were the days when everything you buy had a "lifetime service guarantee" so when it breaks, it can be restored back to the way it was.
Perhaps you're looking at it the wrong way. You don't buy a phone because it's top notch. You buy it because you need it.
Design wise the iPhone 8 is already obsolete since it's basically just an iPhone 6 with a faster processor. Otherwise you would have 5 years before the iOS becomes an issue.
Well I'm on iphone 6S+ for the past 3.5 years and no issues at all, so I wouldnt be concerned about that.
- Will iOS5 become obsolete soon? So I'm planning to buy a second hand iPhone 3Gs and I'll probably have it on iOS6 already. But I want to know how long apple will keep supporting iOS5/6 so that this phone doesn't go useless.
- When will the iPhone 4S become obsolete? I was wondering when the iPhone 4S will become truly obsolete. I can't afford a new model, so considering that it will be supporting the new iOS 8, how long should it take for Apple to stop pushing updates to it and seize production of this model?
- Should i dye the of tips of my hair blond considering the fact that i'm 13? I don't want to look weird b/c i started to notice 8 year olds with iphones and i think it is super ridiculous b/c they are so young but then i wonder that i'm too young to dye my hair and other -older- people look at me and think that it is ridiculous that i'm only 13 and i dyed my hair.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
