I'm thinking of updating to iOS 7?
I've heard mixed responses. Will it work if you just download it and put it on your device or will it later end up asking for me to enter my developer apple ID and brick my iPhone since I did not register my UDID code with a developer?
You need a dev account.
all idevices that updated to ios 7 without a dev account will be disabled on july 22nd
As of now it will work, but eventually Apple may/will close that hole & you'd be asked to verify your developer status. Aside from the fact the beta itself would expire before too long.
- Will updating my iPhone to iOS 6 unban me? My Instagram account was disabled for whatever stupid reason, but if I were to update my iPhone 4S to the new iOS 6 beta, would I be able to use Instagram again? I've made a new account, and it says my account has been disabled. It banned my phone via the UDID. Instagram works on my ancient iPod Touch though.
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
- Will updating my ios to 5.1.1 will also change the baseband? I have an iphone 3gs running on ios 4.3.5 with baseband 05.16.02 and I want to upgrade it to ios 5.1.1 but i'm afraid it might change my baseband. I'm NOT AN ULTRASNOW USER since it is not availble on 05.16.02 baseband.
- Will updating from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 remove everything? I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
