Check with your provider. Even if they have a roaming agreement for a Spanish provider, you may or may not have data available in Spain on your contract, and you may or may not be willing to pay their roaming charges - especially for data, these may run into several thousand dollars…

  • Will my iphone 3gs work in spain and good spain phone deals? I'm from Australia and i'm going to Spain soon, and I'm just wondering if my iphone 3gs will work in Spain on the Spain network if I get a prepaid Spain simcard, do I just take out my Aussie sim and put the Spain one in, will it work? Or what do I need to do? Also, are there any good phone deals for prepaid simcards that has a lot of credit (I need data cos I'll be using Viber to ring home) and enough to last me 2 1/2 weeks that I'm in Spain without being too expensive.
  • Will I be able to transfer my contract from a regular Sim card to a Micro Sim card? I want to buy an iPhone 4S on T-mobile, but my current T-mobile sim card is a regular one that would not fit in to the iPhone 4S. Would I be able to somehow move my contract on to the new Micro Sim?
  • Will I be able to find a nano sim in Spain? I'm travelling to Spain in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to get a local nano sim to use with my iPhone 5 for data. Would it be possible to find one in Bilbao Airport in particular (or elsewhere in that area)?
  • When traveling, can I buy a SIM card to my iphone even though I'm still on a contract? I'm traveling soon. I have verizon and their roaming service is very expensive. I was wondering if once I get to my destination country, can I buy a SIM card so that I can be able to obtain phone service while on my trip? If not, My iphone is still under contract, if I get my phone unlocked, then buy a SIM card, would that also be a problem?
