I need a new earphone for my iPhone 6?
The Apple EarPods went haywire after six months of usage. The right earphone doesn't even produce sound
I don't have a fixed budget but something under $200 would be great.
I need an earphone that considerably blocks outside noise and offers good sound quality. I mostly listen to classical music.
Learn to rely ONLY on REPUTABLE manufacturers such as Sennheiser, Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Bowers & Wilkins, Bang & Olufsen, Etymotic, Beyerdynamic, Audio-Technica.
Then again:
As nothing is unbreakable, you need to take a good care of your audio gear as well!
Maintenance tips:
Buy yourself a protective carrying case/pouch and put your audio gear in there whenever not in use
Always unplug your listening device whenever NOT in use
Do NOT wrap the cord around ANYTHING, do NOT let the cord become tangled!
Do NOT jerk your head too much while listening to the music
Do NOT pull from the cord, pull from the plug
Do NOT drop your audio device
Do NOT fall asleep with the earbuds on!
If using in-ear earbuds, please keep the plugs as clean as possible by using DRY lint-free cloth or DRY Q-tip or swab. Do NOT use any alcohol-based cleaning detergents!
First - please verify that these will work with your phone. There's NO MIKE, so you will have to pause listening and remove them, to answer the phone, should it ring. I will try mine - and let you know.
Get an adapter plug, and INVEST ($$) in a pair of Etymotics. I use these on plane flights - I'm a professional classical musician since 1973 - and I want to want to block out the noise, and hear classical music with great fidelity. They come with a variety of detachable earpieces - I do not find *trees* to be comfortable so I use the foam. They also have wax filer and a tool and extra filter so that you can keep everything clean and open for best sound quality. I no longer have the box, or I would tell you the model - but it probably has changed since them anyway. I just checked online - I think they are hf5. I'm very particular how I wind them - I use a case called NEST - looks like those Spoolies hair curlers form the Sixties, but bigger and flatter- maybe 3 inches across. The earbuds and plug (and shirt clip) can all tuck in between the petals as you wind, so when you flips it is soft, but without ANY strain. Yup - here it is on Amazon:
- Why does only one earphone in my iPhone work? I've had my iPhone 4 for about a year and a half now. When i got it all earphones worked, now only one works and same with speakers and docks. At first i thought i had blown my earphones but they work in everything else just not my phone.
- Which is best? Sennheiser MX375 or Apple iPhone 4/4S Earphone? I need a comparison about Sennheiser MX375 and iPhone 4/4S earphone. the pros and cons about those earphone. About the sound they produce, the bass, treble, and clarity of the sound in every single genre of music. I need your help, audiophile!
- What happens if you get water in iPhone 5 earphone port? I got water in my earphones and one earpiece became softer than the other so I got new ones. The new ones MIGHT have a similar problem so I'm wondering if I got water in the iPhone's earphone jack but I don't know if I'm just being paranoid or not and am merely hearing what I'm most afraid of. So what exactly will happen if water got in my earphone jack?
- No sound out of my iPhone 4s after broken earpiece lodged into earphone hole Ohkay. So I was at my neighbors house a couple weeks ago & one of their younger cousins took my iPhone 4s off the counter & tried to put a mini speaker in it. When she took the speakers back out, the part you insert in the iPhone broke off into my phone. I can't get it out so it won't play any music/sound out of my iPhone. What do I do? Is there any way that I can get it out? I have tried a lot & nothing seems to work.
