I have been noticing on my iPhone 7 Plus where it says update Apple ID settings and then when I tap on it it says some account services require you to sign in again. Why is it saying that? We had to get a new router put in for our internet so does that have something to do with why it's saying that?

Switching router will not cause it to pop up.

Is it for setting up Apple pay.

You have to re-enter your passwords for the app store etc. Every so often, presumably it's a form of security to make sure the phone is with the real owner.

  • I need some iPhone help! Is anyone out there an iCloud expert? Here's what happened: My son forgot his password to his iPhone. I read online that the only thing you can do is to restore the phone. I hooked it up to the computer and restored it. Well, it put all my contacts from my phone into his phone. I deleted them out of his phone and it deleted them out of my phone as well. I turned off the iCloud settings. He just informed me that whenever I text someone, it goes to him as well. Whenever someone texts me, it goes to me and him.
