I need iMessage/FaceTime/iPhone

I have an iPhone 4s, on O2. I regularly use iMessage and FaceTime but when I tried to send a message the other day it failed, It said check settings, this is where I found it was turned off (same as FaceTime) I then turned it back on and just got 'waiting for activation' It has said that for a few days and will not activate.
I have tried the following:
Turn off and on again,
hard reset (hold lock and home button),
reset network settings,
reset the phone,
tried another Apple ID.
Most of these were suggested online and didn't make any difference, every now and then it pops up saying something like 'connect to iTunes to receive notifications'(I'm also not getting notifications from Facebook and other app's) If anyone can help it would be great, I'm having to wait until I'm home to send or receive iMessages and FaceTime calls by using my Mac, it is so annoying, thank you.

Added (1). This has been tried with 3G connection, home Wi-Fi, work Wi-Fi, friends Wi-Fi and public hotspots. It still makes no difference.

Check internet settings and check how strong internet is
If ok then it could be a fault with the phone and ask O2
For more help and they might send replacement due to phone errors

  • Why won't FaceTime/iMessage work? So I have an iPhone 4 and my Facetime and iMessage isn't working! I try to sign in and it says it couldn't sign in. I also just got the latest update- IOS 6 I think? Can you please help me!
  • Why is my iPhone 4S not allowing me to FaceTime or iMessage? I have about five people who have an iPhone on my contacts. My phone will not let me send and iMessage or FaceTime them! What's wrong with it? I'm getting annoyed because I have FaceTimed and iMessaged last week and both stoped working Saturday. The only thing my phone sends are text messages. Can anyone explain why?

  • IPhone 4 - Unable to turn on iMessage but Facetime still works? The phone has been kept up to date with software. When I go to my settings to where you can turn on imessage, the little switch to turn it on is grayed out. Facetime works fine - whenever I try to find an answer on google it's "facetime and imessage not working." Please help! Really need to fix this. I'm not able to turn it on ever even under Wi-Fi.
