I need my own computer I'm tired if sharing the home computer

I'm suck and tired of sharing the home computer with everyone in my house. Before it was me my sister and my mom and there was nothing wrong with the computer we had before. But now that my mom has a boyfriend everything is not the same. Every time I try to sync my iPhone to get to iTunes it won't open, he keeps changing the Wi-Fi password to something no one can remember, he keeps putting unnecessary parental controls which makes it impossible for me to do anything I can't even go on the Internet WHEN I'm 15, and no I can't even download music to my iTunes library anymore after he came. And I tried to talk to my mom about but she just keeps on defending him so I have to just deal with it. I'm really just thinking about getting my own laptop.

Then get a job you hippie! Just playin' but yeah, mow your neighbors lawns and make some buck to buy your own gear son.

I feel ya bro. Just do all your chores perfectly and get your grades up. Those are my conditions and when I meet them I'm gonna get a Mac book. So sit your mom down and meet her halfway. I'm 17 and quite frankly if someone came to my house and did that id tell them to cut the sh*t. Just be like "dude what's up?"

If you can get your own laptop then you should. Better yet, get a desktop for your room. You will get more power for less money from a desktop and the only benefit the laptop has is portability. One big negative to the laptop is you are more likely to accidentally break the screen if you move it around a lot.
As long as you are getting a desktop, you might as well install an ethernet jack into your room so you get a direct connection and don't have to deal with needing the Wi-Fi password.

asus have everything from gaming laptops to general use.

also, a quick hint, you can change the password back by typing in your (personal) ip (sometimes it's your gateway number) into your internet browser. Then just find where you can change the password.pretend you didn't change the password and the boyfriend forgot it or something.

if you don't know your ip and if you're running windows 7, click start an type into the search box "cmd". From there type in "ipconfig", then hit enter.scroll back up to the top and look for the heading "Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection". Under that look for IPv4.

if that doesn't work, under the same heading find default gateway.type that in. (my internet uses the gateway, i don't know why.)

You can get your own computer if you mow some yards in your neighborhood, save up and get yourself a used laptop. See about doing some stuff outside of your usual chores to get a bit of extra cash. Until you get your own computer with your own money then you will never have a choice but to deal with what your mother says.

Buy a new computer.
