I need Programming ideas! - 1

I'm going to college next year and I'm going to major in computer science. Right now, I have 1 year of java programming classes under my belt and I'm almost as proficient in C++ as i'm in java. (Which is not that much in the first place. I was wondering if you have any ideas on projects I should work on while in college, or things I should do on the side while I'm taking classes to get my bachelors in computer science. I was thinking about programming apps for the iPhone or android or developing simple software (maybe games) in the languages that I already know about. Do you have any insight? Please share it all below.

You should get involved with a game hacking forum and learn to make trainers and other hacks… It will surprisingly teach you all the aspects of programming, plus if you like games, your getting to alter your favorite games and do some awesome things.

If you are going to college next year look up interpreters and text adventure games (which are the same thing actually). That's a common project for first year programming courses and if you've done one you will find yourself ahead of the game.

  • Need song ideas? What's on your playlist right now? I want to add some more songs to my iphone, they can be anything from mumford and sons to train i don't really care. Just post some of the songs youre listening to rightt now.
  • Need some ideas for making videos? So I wanted to try new hobbies and things, and one thing that came to mind was making videos, and if I want to uploading them to youtube. So some suggestions/ideas would be sweet. I have my iphone 5 camera, which is decent enough quality, and I could find some decent editing program. But the question is, what to make videos of. I'm not too sure haha

  • Need gift ideas for a girl who likes gadgets? I need some ideas for what to buy my friend for Christmas. She really likes gadgets but not things like xbox's and playstations. She has an iphone 5, galaxy note and an ipad if that helps?
