I recently got an iPhone 4S and i don't know what icloud backup means?

Should I turn it on? Can someone explain what exactly it is and why I need it?

Copy your data on the icloud so just in case your iPhone crashes or breaks you can get your data back from the icloud

It's saves all your media files an stuff that you want but you have to back ot up often to keep up with all the stuff you have. It cones in handy if your iPhone breaks or crashes

I don't back much up, but the icloud set up allows you to pick and choose what you want saved and what you don't so you can select.

One very good feature of the icloud backup is "Find my Phone".It's at the end of the icloud selections list. If you set up icloud and you loose or misplace your phone, it tracks its location and you can see where it is by logging into icloud from your computer. Nice feature to have.

  • My photos on my iPhone got deleted by themselves and i don't know how to get them back? Okay so i was on my phone just then and i was editing a photo on an app, i wasn't on my camera roll at all i didn't even have it open. So i was just editing on an app and i go onto my photos and it says "camera roll 95" when i originally had 314 i looked on the "recently deleted" but the photos on there were only the ones i deleted months ago. Absolutely devastated please help me, i want to know what happened and how i can get my photos back
  • My nephew got a message on his iPhone that we don't know what it means? My nephew was updating his iPhone to IOS6 at his friends house. A little while later he received a message on his phone that says: "Phone number added to "noahs ipod". "noahs ipod" is now using =1. ### (nephew's phone number) for iMessage". Can anyone tell me what that really means? And how do we get rid of that?
  • Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
