I've found an iPhone on Ebay but how do I know it'll work in the UK?

Will it work in the UK? Will I have to get it unlocked?

The easiest way would be to buy one in the UK. Sprint is a CDMA carrier, I don't know if they use CDMA in your country. IPhones are sold everywhere, so why would you need one from the US?

EBay is always going to be a little dodgy have you tried a store like CEX

The phone will not work in the UK/ or Europe. It is A CDMA phone. This is not used/or supported in Europe. Some networks in America are GSM. These phones can be used in the UK, as long as they are unlocked. Phones that are from AT&T and unlocked will work. AT&T have a GSM network. Sprint Does not.

@The teq Squad: actually all iPhones since the 4s have been GSM/CDMA models so it may in fact work. Personally though, despite that possibility I would:
1. Look for one from the UK instead
2. Look for a one from a GSM carrier

  • Lost my iphone, claimed insurance but found my iphone. Will both work? My question is i recently lost my iphone 5 (t-mobile) and had already called insurance and am receiving my new iphone5 through insurance. T-mobile had told me that they have lock/blocked my lost phone.   • IPhone 6s plus or 7 plus. I know the prices and what they do. But what I wanted to know is Did the 7 fix the home button problem? That s my main worry. I use my phone to text, check facebook, candy crush, look up info, and take the odd picture… Will I notice the difference between the two phones to be willing to pay more for the 7? Hoping for opinions for 6s plus and 7 plus from past of present owners.
  • I know the password to my work Wi-Fi network but it won't let me connect? One day I successfully connected my phone to it, but no other devices would connect. Now my co workers iPhone will connect but my phone won't anymore. I'm thinking it's either mac filtering or a limited number of IP addresses. It's a draytek router. I'm permitted to use the network but like I said I can't connect anymors?
