I want to buy myself an iPhone but?

But my dad thinks it's stupid that all the kids at my school (I'm fourteen) have iPhones. I understand his point of view; iPhones are expensive, highly functioning phones and a fourteen year old most likely doesn't require all the features it provides. I don't mean to sound greedy, I'm thankful for my Android but its battery dies VERY quickly, it is kind of slow and crashes quite a bit, and it actually can't do very much. I've been saving money since I was 8, I have enough to buy it myself, and I want to spoil myself. I don't ask for very much in general and my grades are great. I can handle an iPhone responsibly. Any advice?

You seem very responsible.

I say sit down, have a talk with you're dad and explain to him what you have just said, but add more on how you are responsible and deserve one.

Try offering to pay for you're phone bill by doing things such as chores.

Not as expensive as some think as you can get an iphone 4 free with a 2 year contract. You can also cut back on the bill by using lower data plans, use imessage with a lower text plan, etc.
