I want to get into app developing what are my costs?
Hi i'm a young teenager that wents to get into app developing. I don't want to hire team or anything but rather learn and make my own app.
1. What will be my costs?
Android or apple which should a i make a app for first?
Also my ultimate goal it to make money from my apps so should it be free or priced at $0.99.
Thank you
Added (1). I have a laptop
also a iphone
so please don't include those into the costs
Equipment (computer, software, internet), hosting costs, time.
As you probably know, there are millions of mobile apps available and most of their developers live way below minimum wage or do something else for a living.
That said, I can't know if you'll come up with something as popular as Angry Birds, but unfortunately the chances are quite slim.
IMHO, you should learn how to write solid code instead of learning how to make apps. The app market is flooded right now with people who want to make the next big app. You should really learn a solid foundation in programming. With that, you can learn to build pretty much whatever you want--whether it be an app, a web service, executables, etc.
- When developing apps for iPhone and iPad? Do you recommend me having at least iPod touch? Or both iPod touch and iPad? I have neither, but I'm If I go to Apple Store and ask they will of course say "yes you need both iPod touch and iPad"
- What's the best way to learning Objective-C for developing iPhone apps? C/C++ first? From where? How long will this take for a relatively simple app (somewhat like a workout logger application)?
- What language should I start with to start developing iOS apps? If I want to develop iPhone apps, should I learn Python first or just go straight to objective C or learn something else? I have 0 programming skills and have only done some web development. I have a Mac and Xcode.
- Total terminating costs of iPhones? I know for a fact that most iPhones need 2 year contracts. What is the actual cost of an iPhone 4/4s/5 with contract? Is an iPhone without a contract cheaper?
