I want to play a English Visual Novel?

I want to play a Visual Novel. I don't have a game console and i don't have PC.
I have a Mac, ipad and iphone though.

I would prefer games aimed towards a female audience (aka otome games).

Where can i download or purchase them from?
What platform do i need to play them?
Which games would you recommend?

I think there's a program you need to download/buy to play games on a mac. I know there's a way I'm just not sure…

The only English visual novel I know of is Enzai: Falsely Accused. Its yaoi. It's not for everyone, TRUST ME. But other than Enzai I don't know any other games.
