I would like to know how to backup my phone data on iTunes and how to merge data from two old phones onto a new phone

Hi, I recently purchased an iPhone SE and transferred the data from my old iPhone 4S using iTunes. My girlfriend is about to do the same, using the same computer, however she has two old phones and she d like the data merged onto her new iPhone SE.
My questions are;
How do I backup my data on iTunes? (I would like to put this on an external hard drive).
How do I save my girlfriends data on iTunes without affecting mine? Do I login in to windows with a different user account?
Finally, how do we merge the data from two old phones on to the new SE?

I don't think you can merge iOS backups. Its one or the other. The closest you could possibly get is to restore from a backup & sign into online synced account to get that data there & then backup that data.

As far as backing up on iTunes, you'll see the option when you go to the iPhone section once connected to the computer. You also don't dictate where the backup goes. It is stored in a special folder on the computer (if you store it there in the 1st place) or in iCloud (Apple's servers). ITunes is able to discern different iPhones so that wouldn't be an issue. You'd see it in the Devices section.

  • With my new iPhone 7 plus if I set it up as a new phone instead of moving my iCloud data to the new phone would I lose my? Unlimited data plan and phone number or would that still be there I already put my SIM card in 10 points
  • What are the pros and cons of a sprint and tmobile merge? Will my coverage speeds change? Will my Tmobile iPhone 5c be technically be running off of sprints network? Sprint is just downright terrible. I don't want to be paying a cent for service I can't use. Please tell me this isn't the case. TMobile uses HSPA+ network, and sprint uses CDMA. Those technologies are 2 totally different technologies, therefore probably rendering them incompatible.
  • Two songs will not transfer from my computer onto itunes like all the others did? Okay, so I checked google and it was no help. I recently upgraded from my optimus smartphone, to an Iphone 4. Now I was able to get all my music onto my computer from the old SD card, and then I was able to transfer the songs onto itunes, then onto my phone. Then i found out that two songs, two i love the most mind you, will not transfer, I drag them over like i did with the others but they won't appear in itunes, why?

I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
