I would like to know of an app for iOS like iPad and iPhone to limit Wi-Fi signal?

I would like to know if there's an app for iPad that can limit the amount of Wi-Fi signal other devices, connected to the same router, use. Like reduce it, for example: i have a laptop and a playstation connected to the same router wirelessly, via Wi-Fi. With the app on my iPad i would like to make the laptop only receive, say, a 10% of the signal and let the Playstation have the rest 90% signal. Is there an app for that in iOS?

You can't. Unless the router has control to limit devices there's no way to control it. And that would not require an app, it requires logging in to the router and manually changing settings.

What I think you're really looking for is a way to tell the Wi-Fi router to allocate different amounts of bandwidth (overal Internet speed) to different devices. In router-speak this is called "quality of service" or "QoS".

Some routers have this (Netgear for instance), others don't.

But whether or not your router has this capability, there's no app for an iPad or any other device or PC to adjust it. Instead, you set it up and adjust it using the router's configuration web pages.

The good news is, since that's just a web page like any other, you *can* access it using the web browser on your iPad. Using Safari, Chrome, etc try going to its IP address http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1. Or http://192.168.2.1 (see the link below for more possibilities).

At that point you might need to enter a login and password; if you've never changed it see the link below for defaults you can try.

Once you are at the router configuration page, look around to try to find something called "QoS" or "Quality of Service".It'll probably make you identify devices via IP addresses.
