ICloud backup taking FOREVER?
I've had my iPhone 7 since January 2017 and I'm finally doing icloud backup now for the first time. The estimated time is over a day and it keeps increasing. I had to buy the 200 gb storage to begin the backup process. How long do you think it will take?
Added (1). iCloud backup taking FOREVER?!
When you finally back up after failing to do it as you should,
it will take a long time.
Just be patient!
The time is going to depend on the amount of data, and how fast your upload (not download) speed is.
Most pepole's upload speed is not very fast - maybe a few MB/sec, so 200GB (200,000MB) is going to take several hours, so it's best to let it run overnight.
Fortunately this should only be true of the first time. After that, the backup only takes the new changes since the last backup.
- WHY IS MY IPHONE TAKING FOREVER? I have the iphone 4 and its literally taking forever to send a text, the bar goes almost all the way… Then nothing and this phone is brand new
- Why is my iPhone taking forever to sync? This is all I see when I sync. I just installed iTunes and this is my first time syncing to this computer. I just upgraded to iOS 7 today Also, my iPhone doesn't have the "Syncing please don't remove" like it does on my other computer. Mark, I find your lack of knowledge disturbing. I saw your avatar though and I was surprised. Usually Americans are smart *sarcasm*
- Why is my iPhone taking forever to send text messages? I have an iPhone 4 and I don't know why just all of a sudden it's taking forever to send messages! My phone keeps saying storage almost full so I don't know if that's a problem but I deleted a lot of my messages and it didn't do anything but can someone help me and find a solution? What can I do to make it stop, thank you
- Why is my iPhone 4S taking forever to restore? So I jail broke my 4s a month ago and now I want to put ios7 on it so I restored it, after backing it up on iCloud. But it still has that black screen and silver progress circle and has been like that for 45 minutes. The circle is still moving, so it's not frozen. Should I be worried?
