If an iPhone somehow got a virus, what would stop that virus from spreading to the recovery image?

If an iPhone got a virus, couldn't it just spread to the recovery image? I don't mean where you connect the iPhone to your computer and restore through iTunes. I mean the restore image that is actually on the iPhone.

That would indeed be a risk. That's why you're supposed to keep multiple backups. One day you might have to go far back enough to find a backup that wasn't infected.

  • What is this grey screen spreading onto my iPhone in Safari? I have an iPhone 6S. Today I noticed something weird when I pull up a new Safari page. Instead of the web address screen that shows icons of my most visited web pages, it is just a white screen (with the URL box). Then, when I type in a website, light grey spreads over the screen. Otherwise safari seems to be working ok, but why is this randomly happening? Could it be a virus?
  • Someone sent me an email from iphone, can i get their number from it somehow? A client of mine sent me an email from their iphone but i can't find their number to call them back. Is there a way i can get it from the email they sent?
  • Somehow I lost a whole sms conversation? (iPhone)? I was going to text someone and when I looked at our iPhone conversation it was completely erased?! I seriously don't think I deleted it. Has this ever happened to someone? Can I fix it/bring back the messages:/
  • Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
