If I buy a new phone and restore my phone will a virus transfer to the new phone?

I believe my iPhone has a virus but I'm not sure. I'm due for a new phone anyways but I need to know that if I do have a virus on my current phone, will it transfer with my information and data to my new phone?

No

If you have downloaded hacked apps, and you back them up, and later restore those apps, they will continue to do what they did before. So app that got did not get from the Apple app store, that are suspect, should not be restored to your new phone. Same for suspected browser bookmarks and cookies. And you may have malware or browser redirecting urls, but it's doubtful that you have a virus. And if you are in a habit of allowing people to play with your phone, you might have had something downloaded and installed, that monitors your activities and reports, copies or sends them to themselves. Nothing that a factory reset won't cure if your can't find it to delete it.

IPhones don't get viruses in the 1st place, so no it wouldn't transfer a virus.
