If I buy an iPhone 5 in Bangkok, Thailand, will it work in New Zealand?

I want tom buy an iPhone 5 but I was wondering that if I bought it in Thailand, would it still work with all the functions and everything perfectly fine if I use it in New Zealand, using Vodafone?

You better make sure you buy it from a Apple reseller and not some phone shop that are selling them for a few hundred dollars less then at the Apple reseller. A real Apple phone under warranty will cost close to 21, 500 baht for 16 gb. Those fakes sell for hundreds less but look real, but the parts inside are cheap made second hand parts. AIS, True or DTAC along with IStudios are Apple resellers. You better check the price at home before you waste your money here. You could find it being about $100 more here.
