Only if the iPhone has been unlocked to all networks.

Many are supplied in that state, others are supplied locked to a single network. Even those can later be unlocked once the owner has completed a minimum subscription period with the original network. After that, for a fee, the owner can ask their network provider to obtain an unlocking code from Apple. There are some other means of unlocking iPhones but they're not guaranteed to be permanent unless Apple supplied the unlocking code.

Apple always charges a fee to supply unlocking codes, but some network providers waive them. In some legal jurisdictions suppliers are obliged to waive the fee once a minimum contract period has expired. But they just add it onto the monthly payments throughout the contract instead, so it's never truly free.

  • Where can I buy a SIM card for straight talk? I just bought an AT&T iPhone 4 and want to use it for straight talk. The straight talk website says it is compatible all I need is a straight talk SIM card. I can buy it online but I was wondering if I can also get it from Walmart Wireless? The only reason I'm asking is because I don't want to wait for it to come in the mail.
  • What SIM card should I use to put my unlocked Verizon Iphone 5c on straight talk? I just purchased a GSM unlocked Verizon Iphone 5c and am currently trying to put it on straight talk. I've purchased the BYOP kit from walmart and I know I need to use the nano sim but IIm not sure if I should use the at&t compatible SIM card or the T mobile? Or does it not matter? Any feedback would be really appreciated.
