If I buy an iphone (not from the boost mobile store) can I connect it to boost mobile?
Lets say I buy an iphone that isn't connect, will I be able to get it within the boost mobile network? Or is their more to it
There's more to it, last I knew you had to use a boost mobile phone, not sure if that has changed. Do call boost mobile's customer service to be sure, cheers.
Phones in America run on two types. CDMA and GSM carriers. One takes a sim card and the other doesn't, respectively. These are not interchangeable.
Common CDMA services: boost, sprint, verizion, cricket, etc.
Common GSM carriers: tmobile, at&t, and go phones (tmobile, tracker, at&t, etc).
It is possible to exchange CDMA carriers with other CDMA phones, and the same for GSM.
But you will have to get it programmed to run on a carrier's network. (CDMA NETWORK 1 TO RUN ON CDMA NETWORK 3). This process is called "flashing" for CDMA phones and "unlocking" for GSM phones.
If it's unlocked then probably. You'd have to ask them.
