If i buy an unlocked iphone on Ebay, can i use it on a virgin mobile plan?
I saw the iphone on virgin moble and it is a little more than i would like to pay for. I checked ebay and i was going to bid on an iphone in hopes to get it for a cheaper price. So i was wondering if i buy a "factory unlocked" iphone on ebay, would i just be able to go to virgin mobile's website and activate it?
No. Locked phones refer to locking the SIM card to one carrier. This applies only to GSM phones. Virgin uses CDMA. The iPhones require additional software to run in Virgin, which they won;t install for you.
iPhones are very overrated and over-hyped. You can get a more powerful Android phone for less than half.
No only virgin mobile iphone will work.
