If I call someone while signed onto Skype, will my phone number show up on their end?
As opposed to physically dialing a phone number, I used my iPhone to call someone on Skype after signing on to Skype with my e-mail and password. Therefore, I simply clicked the "phone' icon. Since I was using Skype from my iPhone, will my mobile number show up in that person's missed calls?
Assuming it is a Skype to Skype call (VoIP) then no. It would use your Skype account (username) rather than a phone number.
Skype does have phone call abilities that is pay for last time I checked.
- Will it show up as a missed call if i call someone by accident for half a ring? So I accidentally called my ex on his iphone, but I quickly realized my mistake and hung up after a half ring. Like you know how when you're calling someone it rings, I hung up after the first riiiing. My question is, will it show up on his phone as a missed call? I tested it out on 2 friends. One iphone 5 and iphone 4. They both told me they didn't get a call. Am I in the clear?
- I sent a text message to someone who has their phone off right now. Will they see it when they turn their phone on? We both have iPhones so I sent it on iMessage but sent it as a text message after since the message didn't say delivered. Will they still see it when their phone is on?
- I can't use my speaker phone while in a phone call on my iPhone 5S? I recently got an iPhone 5S and when I call someone (a normal phone call), it won't allow me to click on my speakerphone button. It's not that it doesn't work, I'm just unable to use the function while in a call.
- How do people send text messages using their email instead of their phone number on their iphone? Ok so I want to be able to send a text message to someone without my phone number being revealed but my email address to that person and I was wondering if there was a way to do that. Because when some people send me a text message I see their email instead of their phone number. How can I do this?
