If I do this to my iphone, will it break?

I turn on music and i use the iphone speakers(I do this for an approximate 3-4 hours a day), no headphones, and my parents told me my iphone would "break" if I do this. I have reason to believe they're just saying this so I stop playing my music. When I bought a ds or a gameboy, I was also told it'll "break" if I played it right out of the box without charging it first. I believed this when I was younger, but now I'm starting to question these notions because my parents never gave me reasons why these would break? If my iphone really will break, how would it break by playing music and how does it specifically happen?

No, it shouldn't. You should always make sure you take the phone out if an ihome before unplugging it or it may break.

It wouldn't actually break, but if you keep playing it out loud with no headphones you may blow the speaker if you keep playing music full blast in your phone. That or it will just have bad quiet speaker that will suck

It is designed 2 play music thru its external speaker. Your parents either know nothing or they r lying. Try 2 sue them 4 damages.

I don't think it would break. It might eventually burn out. If I were you I would stick with a radio. I don't understand how a ds would break though.
