If I Get a New iPhone Will My Shortcuts Transfer?
Recently I got an app for my iPhone 4 that allows me to make short cuts for my apps using cute app decals/icons. I love how my home screen looks with the adorable short cuts for all my apps. I was wondering however, if I were to get a new phone, put my SIM card in, yadayadayada… Would my app short cuts still be there and will they still have the adorable, colorful icons that I chose?
Maybe and here's how. You need to backup the 4 on iTunes, not enough room on iCloud. All of it. When you set up the new iPhone do not 'set up as a new iPhone' you need to select 'restore from iTunes backup' from the list. This should port all of your settings, cutesy stuff, and yada yada over to the new one. Best luck.
