If I got the new iPhone, how would people treat me?

I'm looking to trade in my iPhone 4S at best buy, and get I think what is about 170.00 back to put towards an iPhone 5S. So I would end up paying 30-40 dollars tops on it. But if people at school (I'm an 8th grader) saw me with the new one they would think I'm spoiled, which I'm really not. I only have an iPhone for electronic and modern stuff. I pay half the bill every month.

People at school wouldn't know that, though. And I can't tell everybody who sees me with it the story. I hate people thinking I'm spoiled, but I would buy this phone, and do it for myself. It would be easier if I got an iPhone 5, since it's not as new, but I think apple stopped selling them. If I got one off Craigslist or something, I'd have to start a whole new 2 year plan.

What am I supposed to do? I probably would keep it in my backpack at school and not really let anybody know, but with friends and stuff (not like I'm on it with them, but I need it places just in case) it would still make me feel bad and spoiled.

Imo the whole 'cell phone look' is stupid anyway. Guess what. Everybody has one it won't make you special.

They would treat you like a leper and stone you to death.
Happened at my school

I personally think you should buy get it. I have an iPhone 5 and I want to upgrade to the 5s. Be yourself, what is the worst thing that could happen? They are going to think you are spoiled and get over it over time and plus you are paying for it yourself, it's not like you parents bought it for you. That's just my opinion. Maybe it a different case because I'm a freshman in college and no one cares if you own an airplane.
