If i invest in the relevant cables, can I watch netflix on my tv via my iphone?

I've been looking into investing in a HDMI cable and appropriate adapter, so that I can stream what's on my iphone 5 to my TV.

From what I understand, I will be able to view my phone on my TV, but some apps block the content.

Has anyone tried to do this with their iphone? Have you been able to view Netflix using these cables?

All you need is Google Chromecast plug into your tv HDMI and you can stream Netflix from your phone. It's only $35 and no wires.

You can get an iPhone to HDMI adapter for $50. This option is ideal if you are using your cellular internet connection to do the streaming. If you are using Wi-Fi, you might be better off buying a $50-100 blu-ray player with Wi-Fi and apps. For example, this Samsung is 69.99 as of this posting:

Samsung is probably one of the more expensive brands. You can find cheaper stuff.

Another option is the Apple TV which allows you to mirror your iPhone screen wirelesses. If you had an Apple TV though, you could just use the Netflix app on it.
