Losing an item is never covered by warranty. If you have some sort of add-on insurance plan or you're within your credit card's buyer protection plan you might be able to get some help.
Why don't you buy a replacement? You can't return an item you don't have.

- My IPhone 5 isn't charging when I plug it in but the charging 'symbol' comes up? I've only had my phone for a few weeks- since Christmas, and today it's been playing up, it keeps turning on and off then when my phone is on the screen at the bottom flickers! - IPhone charging cable not supported but still charging? I have a genuine Apple cable that came with my iPhone 6 (updated to the latest iOS). It fully charges up but when it gets to 100% I get a message that says "this accessory may not be supported". I don't see any damage to the cable and I have only had it a couple of months. Not sure whether to just ignore it or not?
