If i'm connected to Wi-Fi, will that still count as using my data plan?
I have an iPhone 4s, with Verizon Wirless, and i'm wondering if using Wi-Fi counts as using your data?
No, it does not
NO, IT DOESN't BUT IF your OUTSIDE AND you LOSE Wi-Fi CONNECTION, THEN THEY START USING THE DATA PLAN ONLY IF you ARE USING THE WEB.
No… If you lose Wi-fi, then the phone will revert back to your 3G connection.
- IPhone 4: Does using your Wi-Fi count as data? I'm using my iPhone and I have my Wi-Fi on. If I'm online, is that just using the Wi-Fi or is that counting towards my data usage?
- If you are using Wi-Fi on an iPhone, do certain tasks use your data plan still? I know using Wi-Fi is very efficient to slow down your data plan usage, but does it completely eliminate using data out of a monthly data plan on phones or does it just cover part of your everyday tasks? Say I was on Wi-Fi and watched videos all the time, downloaded apps all the time, etc. And I was also under Verizon 4g. Would the Wi-Fi completely cover all of that browsing and usage or would any of the data "leak" from my data plan?
- If I'm connected to the Wi-Fi and to a carrier will it still use up my data plan? I have a iPhone and use tmobile, will it use up my data if I do this? Will it use my data if I'm on airplane mode with Wi-Fi? & when I use the Wi-Fi and the carrier, will tmobile still keep record of what websites I use? Like if I go on a website can I view it online?
- If I have 4g turned on will that count as using Internet or until I open a web page? I just got an iphone 5 and I don't want to get charged for no reason so I'm confused on this, if 4g is on and let's say I'm not using my phone and its just in my pocket will I be charged? Will I be charged until I use the Internet/app? Because I get pictures from friends randomly and you can only receive if you have 4g/lte or Wi-Fi on so is it safe to say that I won't get charged for just having 4g on when I'm out?
