If I replace my damaged iphone 5, do I have to pay the extra $300 upgrade fee?
I broke my iphone 5 screen and I'm going to apple to see if they can replace it. Would I just have to pay the cost of the phone or also AT&T upgrade fee ($300)?
You should have to only pay for the replacement screen & the labor.
You pay the repair/replacement cost, OR the upgrade fee, but not both…
If you're currently eligible for an upgrade, and the upgrade is cheaper than fixing your phone or buying a new phone, then you just pay the upgrade fee to get a new phone.
On the other hand if you aren't eligible for an upgrade yet, then even if you want to pay the upgrade fee, you can't - instead you just either pay to fix the phone, or you pay full price for a new one (the full price will be a lot more than the upgrade price).
- Would I have to to pay extra for the new updated iPhone? My iPhone 6 recently broke 8 months ago and Apple is willing to give me a new one, I was wondering would they give me the newest iPhone 6s rose gold?
