We can't really say.
Every digital camera saves what is called "meta data" as part of the picture. That typically includes information like the date and time it was taken, the make and model of the camera, f-stop, shutter speed and so on. Some cameras will save GPS data as well for location. We do not know what else might be saved with that photo. That depends on the device with which it was taken and what might have been added to it as it went through the various channels needed to get to you.

If there's ANY reason why the police wold be interested, then I suggest that you delete the photo now.

Would they bother? Depends on if they have reason to look at your phone in the first place and the nature of the picture.
