If i take the battery out of my iPhone, will I lose all my contacts etc? - 1
No. They are stored in flash memory and they will remain there. Make sure that the phone is switched right off before you take the battery out.
No, of course not. Phones probably have not done that since the 90s
Why can't you simply BACKUP the phone first?
No. I've done it many times and have never lost any data.
Flash memory doesn't loose data when there's no power to it.
No. That data is stored on the phone storage.
Depend of the device…
anyway make a copy
No
You'll destroy your phone doing that!
It is best to backup all your data onto your computer and to a cloud system (samsung/apple/google etc) before taking out your battery, but there usually shouldn't be any information deletion.
No, all data is stored in a hard drive where no electricity is needed for the information to be kept. All data will be lost in the RAM as it needs power, but not the hard drive

- How much time does an iPhone 4s take to lose all battery? I accidentally dropped my iPhone and my screen got black. I know the reboot will work but the lock button doesn't work either. Hence I need to know how much time will it take for the iPhone to lose all of its battery and then I can plug in and use it. PS: The cellular or the Wi-Fi is off and so are location services.
