They can't see any of your photos or anything on your phone. AirDrop allows them to request to send you any photo or sometimes file they have on their phone. It is a way of sharing files.
Nothing. Its just for file transfers. That would mean though that anyone can transfer whatever, whenever they are in your range. People have had issues where they were transferred explicit images unwanted. So I suggest limiting it to contacts only or only turning it on when needed.
- Why do so many people that own iPhones act like they are better than everyone else? Lately it seems like anytime I meet someone new, they make a point of mentioning the fact that they have an iphone, then talk about how great it is… All I asked was what time it was or if they knew when a baseball game was going to start. One person went so far as to say "if you had an iPhone you wouldn't have to ask."
- Why can't AirDrop on new iPhones work with AirDrop on new macs? IOS7 lets you AirDrop files between phones, and Mac OS 10.8 has had an AirDrop feature for the last year or so, but why can't I transfer a file from my phone to my laptop and vice versa easily?
- Trading-in my water damaged phone to a phone company. Can they see my personal data? So i'm trading in my iPhone 6 for a newer version as it is water damaged (it won't turn on or anything) and my phone company said that they can recycle it. Does this mean that once they get it working, they will see all of my personal information, including photos, contacts etc? I've taken the SIM card out but I'm not sure what this contains.
- I sent a text message to someone who has their phone off right now. Will they see it when they turn their phone on? We both have iPhones so I sent it on iMessage but sent it as a text message after since the message didn't say delivered. Will they still see it when their phone is on?
