If i update my iphone will it erase anything?
Will updating my iphone erase anything? Like apps, notes, pictures, etc? Also, it says that some of the things i bought arent in my itunes library… What should i do?
Back it up to your computer. Just in case.
Updating your iPhone won't erase anything like apps and the other stuff you mentioned. But just in case you should back up you phone on iTunes.
I agree to back it up, but I personally use iCloud to back mine up. Recently my phone was stolen and I got a new one. When I got my replacement phone I connected my phone to Wi-Fi and signe into my iCloud an it restored all my settings. The exact way it was before. Same ringtone, same wallpaper, literally everything was the same, like it was never stolen. Ya know. I def 100% recommend backing it up to iCloud. Plus it is better to be safe than sorry.

- Will this software update erase all my data? I got an iphone 4 and it wants me to do a software update. I remember doing those on my ipod and it would erase all my apps abd music and stuff. If i do it on my iphone will it do that? If so how do i get it not to?

- Will it erase my apn settings if i update to ios 7 on net10? As most net10 users know you have to re-enter the APN settings to get mms and Internet on the iPhone. (As well as others. IPhone just makes it more difficult. Lol.) If I were to update to iOS 7 would that mess with them? Or would it stay the same and still continue to work? I want to update but I use mms and Internet a great deal.

My dad has tons of videos and pictures and he was trying to get a software update but he couldn't because he has a iPhone 3. I told him to reset his settings so that he could get the update. Now he won't let me because he is scared they will all be delete.
