If I update my unlocked iPhone 4 to iOS 7, does my phone keep the unlock?

My iPhone (6.1.3) is on tmobile so it's unlocked and I wanna update to iOS 7 but I'm scared that ill have to unlock it again!

It depends on how you unlocked your phone.

If you depended on things like ultrasn0w then no you should avoid it in the meantime.
If it was unlocked by T-Mobile/whatever other carrier then you will be fine.

Hi if you have unlocked your iphone temporarily then sure it will lock again once you update your iphone 4… If your iphone 4 get locked again then unlock it with the help of sites like http://www.simpleunlocking.com/apple-iphone-4/rs16wp9/ here they unlock iphone permanently using remote unlocking service so your iphone won't get locked again even if you update your iphone…

I just did the software update on my 4s and it worked, however upon restarting it i accidently hit the number that was on this phone before instead of my own. So now i can't text and its not recognized… Help what do i do

  • Why does my iPhone iOS 6 update keep stopping? Whenever I click the "accept" it starts downloading like normal, but then it randomly stops and says "your network signal is weak, make sure that you have checked your network" or something like that… And I have a full 5 bars on my computer screen and the internet is fine… What's happening and how do I fix it? So I went to a friends phone retail store he unlocked my iPhone through a company wich gives u the code to unlock and then he connected it wit Net10 (AT&T). Pretty sure it was a legal unlock MY QUESTION IS: can I still update my iPhone 4S to IOS 7 even though my iPhone is unlocked? Because if I do I'm worried my carrier settings wuld erase and I wouldn't have a line with Net10 any more.
