As long as they don't have two factor authentication enabled and that laptop has been used to sign into the iCloud account before then no.
If they have two factor autehtnication enabled then you won't be able to login without a code which would show up on their phone meaning they'd know about it. Also, if they don't have it enabled but that laptop/location has never been used to sign into the account before then they would receive an email about it
If you don't own the account and don't have permission to use it, you're breaking the law.

She called me on her friends phone obviously. i tried to call her back but obviously she's using that phone of her friends so its engaged. i simply wanted to tell her to call her wireless carrier and tell them to cut the service off that phone cos if its stolen and in the wrong hands - that individual could rack up insane charges etc what's the FIRST thing she should do? I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
