If i was to buy an iphone at walmart that is straight talk will it be gsm or cdma?
Wanting to know because I want a gsm phone on straight talk.

The other posters are wrong… When the straight talk iphones were first introduced they offered the 4 and the 5, both of which utilized verizon's cdma network. Walmart currently sells the 5s and 4s for straight talk, and the 5s uses AT&T's (gsm) network once activated. The 4s will still activate as cdma on Verizon's network if activated according to the instructions, but that too can be activated on either gsm carrier (at&t or T-Mobile) using the straight talk Sim kit, as the phone has a Sim slot (all iphones 4s or newer are dual mode gsm/cdma) and is sold unlocked.
- Will you be able to use the iphone 5 with straight talk from walmart? I heard you can do it with a sim card is that true? If so where can i get a walmart sim card? Do i get it from the store or online? Yes you can put a sim card in it. I have one in my iphone 4s but i don't know if it is on the iphone 5 and if i buy the iphone 5 from at&t i shouldent have to unlock it right? Thats how the 4s works. If its at&t it doesn't need unlocking

So I'm on the site where you activate the sim card and where your supposed to put the Serial Number/ MEID/ DEC in but above it says ''If you have an iPhone that you bought at Walmart or through our online store, please enter your MEID'' clearly i didn't buy the iphone threw walmart or their online store its obviously like i said an at&t gsm do I still enter the meid serial code will it still work?
- Straight Talk Iphone 5 from Walmart? I've been reading up on Iphone 5 deals and it seems like the one from Walmart with a prepaid service is the best deal. However, in the comments I began reading some nonsense about not having access to LTE services with the prepaid service and this other stuff about GSM and CDMA. Can anybody explain this to me?
