If iphone battery is bulging/swelling, will this cause the iphone to act funny?

Because my iphone's battery is swelling, and my iphone is acting very funny. Do you think that the fact that it's acting funny has to do with my battery swelling?

That's a problem you should get fixed. Like, before it blows up.

Of course. A battery that is swelling is dangerous.

If by acting funny you mean exploding, YEP.

Erm, quiet possibly if you count exploding into flames as "acting funny"…

Never mind the phone acting funny.

It's time to have the battery replaced, so get it done.
Now.

If your battery is swelling like that, you might need to get rid of it and get another one, it don't sound safe

Ever seen a cell phone explode? Well, you're about to…

Yes, it is possible.
A: The physical pressure can damage other components.

B: The internal structure of the battery is gradually disintegrating and it's internal connections becoming erratic, plus the internal resistance is likely increasing rapidly.

The the phone will not be getting a steady and reliable electrical supply.

The longer you leave it the more likely it will rupture and wreck the phone, if not just catch fire.

Replace it now, before it bursts into flames.

Yes

  • Will coin money cause a battery shortage on an iPhone 4S? I recently got an iPhone 4S and I accidentally put a dime in the pocket where my phone was. The dime was in my pocket with my phone for about maybe half a day. So i'm curious will my phone have battery shortage
  • Why does my iPhone act weird when I turn airplane mode off? I use airplane mode all the time (To kill dangerous radiation), but when I'm home alone and my parents need to reach me, I shut it off. My phone sometimes starts acting weird when I do that. It's an iPhone 6s, and about 1 year old. Is it the airplane mode, or is it the sudden radiation messing with the technology? (Parts of my body sometimes start randomly hurting too - Adds to the fact that radiation in our daily life is not good at all.
  • Why does my iPhone 4S act up all the time? It freezes constantly, crashes, the internet can be really slow sometimes, and the iMessages send as text messages alot when the other person also has an iPhone. It's only a month or so old, how can I fix it?
  • Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
