If my iPhone 4 broke and I went to the apple store what options would they give me?

It seems that everyone has broken their iPhone apart from me.

Anyway it is inevitable that the battery in my iPhone 4 will die eventually and i was just wondering if that did happen and I went to the apple store what options would they give me, for instance:

#Replace the battery for a fee (iPhone 4 battery replacements may not be available because its old)

#Give me a discount on a new version of iPhone

#Do nothing

By the way i have no insurance or apple care plan thing and the iPhone model is an iPhone 4 32GB

Well, you could get a new battery…

But for most people, after 2 years, they will simply get a new phone for the upgrade price, even if their old phone still works.

If your phone breaks before that, then you'll just have to pay for it to be fixed

If the battery dies within the time of the warranty, it's replaced for free. Otherwise, you could, depending on your plan and such, upgrade to a new phone, or purchase a new battery.
Otherwise they will charge you for the new battery. Cheapest option is replacement of battery, which they should keep some around as many people still use the older iphones, so somewhere you'll find the battery.

You can actually find batteries on ebay.com for fairly decent prices, even ones that are not Apple brand, but work in apple phones. Usually this is a much cheaper option than going through the Apple store itself as they like to charge high prices for the brand name. Even with shipping and handling, this usually works out cheaper than buying in store about 50 to 75% of the time.
