If my iphone 4s has been disconnected?
My iphone4s got disconnected on the 18th due to my father deciding to ground me from my phone. I know he had to pay a bill to disconnect it. We have a two year contract on this phone. Can it be reconnected at any time? Or can it only be reconnected at say, the first of the month?
It's likely that your father didn't pay anything extra to disconnect your phone, he probably just requested a temporary suspension of service. The hold can be removed at any time by the account holder.
Most of the major carriers allow for temporary short-term suspensions, for things like going away for a longish vacation (for example, three weeks abroad). The terms of the contract are still in place, and resume after the service is restored. It would extend the length of the contract by the duration of the suspension (three weeks in the example above). The phone numbers remain the same.
- Will my Iphone still say 3G if it is disconnected? I have an Iphone 4s and it is updated to IOS 7 and It says I have 3G and I have signal but everytime I send a message it says that the message was not delivered and it won't let me use the internet or anything that requires data such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. I tried resetting my network settings but it didn't work. I can still call and stuff, but I'm not sure what else to try. Thanks in advance for any help. I can also receive text messages.

Today around 10am my iPhone got disconnected (hadn't paid my bill yet), I went to text my aunt (who doesn't have an iPhone) and the messages wouldn't send, 30 minutes later I texted my friend who does have an iPhone and I could successfully send and receive messages. And as of 9hr later, I was able to text another person with an iPhone. What's up with this? Not complaining or anything, just curious why it's happening.
- When i plug my iphone into my laptop then turn it off it says its disconnected why? Ok so i usally plug my ipod into my laptop and turn it off and it usally says its still connected but now i have a new laptop and when i turn it off it says its dissconnected my laptop is a windows 7
