If my iphone 5 was to be replaced will they give me the same model or the 5s?
I'm going today to get my phone replaced as the power button doesn't work at all. I've only had it for a few months (got it in May). I was just wondering if they will give me the latest model or not?
They will replace it with a refurbished iPhone 5.
They would give you the same model you had originally unless they were absolutely out of them, which is highly unlikely. Even then they'd probably give you the next closest model which if they didn't just have different colored 5s or something would probably be the 5C, but that probably wouldn't happen because the iPhone 5 isn't actually rare.
They will be give you a refurbished iPhone 5, they would not give you a better phone unless they were out of the refeb'd iPhone 5. So while possible, totally unlikely, Cheers.
- Will my iPhone be replaced with the latest model? The sound on my iPhone is broken and it can't be repaired. The man at the genius store said to replace my phone would be 200$ but will it be replaced with the latest model of iPhone or with the model I have? (I have a 4s) I didn't think to ask and don't really want to drive down to the apple store just for one question. my warranty is up and we canceled Apple Care or whatever it's called.
- When you give APPLE a defective IPHON do they give you a reconditioned one back? My IPHONE had a defect, still under warranty, so I took it to an Apple MAC store and after a few days they gave it back, supposedly repaired. Now the replaced IPHONE has a problem, different than the previous problem I'm now having a problem with the taking a photo. Do they just replace your phone with a reconditioned one they say no but?
- When my iPhone 6 screen is replaced by apple, will the home button be replaced as well? Ever since I updated to iOS 9 on my iPhone 6, the home button has been totally unresponsive. On top of this, my phone was recently stepped on and the screen was shattered. I plan on paying the $109 to have the screen replaced from apple, but does that replace the home button too? I've heard that when the front screen panel is replaced, so is the home button/touch id.
- When getting a replacement iPhone do apple give you the same model or a newer model? I have an iPhone 5 and on Tuesday I'm getting a replacement because of the battery. Would the "geniuses" give me a newer model (like the iPhone 5c or IPhone 5s) or the same model.
