If you close the Facebook app on an iPhone, do you still get replies?

If I'm logged into Facebook on my iPhone, but close the app from the multi tasking area of the phone, will it show any updates such as messages/replies or would I have to have the app running in the background?

Yes, since you didn't log out physically it will still give you Notifications, and messages, but it will not tell you when something new on the newsfeed has showed up. ( This is if you Let facebook send you push notifications).

  • Why does gmail sign me out of my account every time I close my safari app on my iphone? This is a recent development and I'm starting to get really irritated.
