If you erase a backed up iphone, can you restore the data?
I have a glitch, and want to erase all data.
However, I want to restore the data afterwards; is that at all possible if the iPhone is backed up on a computer?
Maybe.
Yeah, but only if the phone has an up-to-date backup! I know it's a little scary 'cos you don't want to lose anything, but as long as you have a backup with all of your data you'll be fine.
You can manually transfer the data with an IPHONE app but if you didn't do that before the issue it's too late. When you connect the IPHONE to the PC it syncs up with ITUNES and all the apps are stored but the content within the apps is not backed up.
You will be able to restore the applications by running ITUNES, go to the app store option and click "purchased" on the right hand menu links. That will allow you to re download all the apps if you login with the account used to purchased those apps.
If you synced it, no need to go to the store section. Just sync it back up.
- What will erase and sync erase on my iphone? I wanted to connect my iphone to a new computer but it says erase and sync, what will it erase? All of the contents or just music?
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- If I erase and sync my iPhone 4 in the music library, will it erase my photos? I'm trying to add music to my iPhone 4 and when I go to sync just the music, it says 'erase and sync'. Will it delete my photos? If so, can I right click my iPhone and back it up so if it does delete my photos, I can just back it up?
- If I erase all my content and settings/data on my iPhone 4, will it erase my number too? I need to erase everything to make room for an update but for that I need 4.7 GB and I have 4.4 right now. I deleted and backed up everything I could but I for some reason can't delete my mail even if I sign out and I just can't lose my number
