If you take pictures on your iPhone does it lose gigabytes?

Yes. It uses your gigabytes.

Well yea. The pictures like most other things on it take up storage.

Technically yes, if you have a massive collection of pictures 'cause every photo takes about a couple of MBs

With iPhone it also depends on the way you take the picture. The new ones automatically turn pictures to hd when the quality and clarity is there and available. Taking more space.

Taking picture means you are creating something through the phone. Now what you are creating needs a space to get stored that so that you can see it in future. The system saves the content and of course consumes memory.

Do you think its stored in thin air?

  • Will You Lose Your Apps When You reset your iPhone? Will u lose all your apps when you tap on "Erase Content and Settings" on your iPhone? Because i recently paid for a few apps.
  • Why does restoring my iphone from a backup use up so many gigabytes? I have an iphone 5 and I'm trying to restore my phone from last backup. Unfortunately, the back up is cancelled about 30 minutes in because my hard disk runs out of space. I have 10 gigs left so there should be any problem with that. I went to mobilesync folder and then to the backup folder and there's one folder there. Once you click on that folder there are thousands of files in that folder that have several modified dates on them. Basically can I just delete the old dated files?
  • Why do the 400 pictures on my IPhone take up 5.9 gigabytes of memory? I have tried deleting many pictures and it only seems to clear up a little bit of memory, this just seems way to high for me.
  • Why do my iPhone pictures take up so much gigabytes? I have a 32GB iPhone 5, and I'm trying to free up space on my phone, I only have 379 pictures (31 videos but they aren't long, longest video is 5 minutes) and it's used up 6.4 GB! My friends have somewhere near 800 pictures and they only use up around 1 or 2 GB. Any reason why my pictures use up so much GB? And any way I can make them use less?
