I'm not getting the full download speed on my laptop?
I'm paying for 25Mbps download and 5Mbps upload and on my Windows 7 laptop i'm only getting about 10Mbps download max, but the upload is fine. The Wi-Fi card on the laptop is an Intel Centrino Advanced -N 6230. On all my other devices (iPhone, iPad, desktop, another laptop) they all get the 25Mbps speed and 5 up. I'm pretty sure the issue is with the Wi-Fi card, but it could be with something else, what could it be?

Reset the connection or call service engineer
The only help I can give you is to try plugging your laptop directly into the router with an ethernet cable. If you get the proper speed, it may just be the Wi-Fi card.
Oddly, your Wi-Fi card is boasted to have up to 300 Mbps bandwidth on the website.
Actually, if you're talking about random downloads from sites, keep in mind that not all websites have the same downloadable speeds. Some websites might pay less money for bandwidth, therefore causing their products to download more slowly than if you went to download something from a Google server or someplace faster.
- Why does my laptop get such bad internet download speed while my Iphone gets 10 times more? My router is downstairs connected to a Windows vista PC. That PC connected with an ethernet cable gets around 90-100Mbs download speed. I did another speed test on my iphone upstairs next to my laptop, and it got 80-90 Mbs. But When I did the speed test on my laptop, it was only 10Mbs down. It's really annoying because it takes like a billion years to open youtube and everything lags.
- Sudden drop in download speed? Yesterday I noticed that suddenly my internet speed was terrible. It still says the signal strength is "excellent" but i can't even manage to watch a YouTube video at 240p which is really saying something. Also I have noticed with my iPhone connected to the same Wi-Fi I still get great download speeds and no problem watching videos and such. Any help would be great.
- My iphone 5s is not getting full text messages. What do I do? My phone is only receiving partial text messages. It has nothing to do with iMessages. If the messages are long it's not dividing then up and letting me see the whole thing it's only showing like six lines of the messages.
- Laptop gets slow internet connection, yet all my other devices get it at full speed? This never used to be an issue up until a few weeks ago, we had a 60MB connection that was buffed up to 100, my laptop used to download at around 5.5 - 6MB per second, whereas now its between 2 and 2.5, yet my iphone and all other computers in the house still get the full speed. I have checked the drivers which are all up to date, I can't discover the problem, what could be causing this? And how can I go about solving it?
