Internet security: Has my computer been compromised? What should I do?

So I was just looking to set up a Netflix account. Note that I'm on my personal computer (Mac) and I do not loan my computer out to other people. When I went on to Netflix, it asked if I wanted to renew my subscription. I remembered I tried a free trial several months back (to get credits in an iPhone game), but quickly discontinued because I already have Hulu.

However, when I clicked to renew, it brought me to the payment screen, but for another member. It even had their credit card number on it (though censored, as it normally is online). Now, I do not know this lady, and there would be no reason to explain why her account would be open on my computer. Looking at her profile on Facebook, we have no mutual friends, so there's no feasible way for this to happen, unless my computer has been compromised. Is this likely? What are your thoughts?

This person's account showed up on Netflix.com; that info is not stored on your own computer. So the security problem is with Netflix's website, not your system. It sounds like some kind of glitch happened on Netflix that scrambled up your member info with someone else's - unlikely to be hackers, but either way it's not an indication of anything wrong on your own system.

What you should do is first of all tell Netflix about this since they'll want to know about this problem and they maybe can fix it. Then if you decide you still want to use Netflix again, it would probably be smart to start with a 100% new account instead of restarting your old one, if you can do that. In your shoes I would start a new account even if Netflix claimed to have fixed the problem with your old one.
