Internet speeds recently cutting in half?

I usually get 20mb download and 1.1mb upload. 2 days ago i started getting around 3mb download and 500kb upload on my iPhone and even my playstation which is on ethernet. I changed the router to the one we rented from windstream and the speeds are now 10mb download and 900kb upload on my ps4, and about 7mb on my PC and phone. I've reset to default settings, unplugged it, and swapped it out. I also tried using 5hz and 2.4hz and enabling SmartSteering.

It's Easter holidays, everyone's on the Internet which slows speed down heaps.

You've done something to cause your ISP to throttle your speed. Exceeding your monthly limit or being caught downloading torrents can do that.

  • Will T-Mobile have 4G speeds for iPhone 5? T-Mobile will be selling the iPhone 5 starting April 12th, does that mean that us current T-Mobile iPhone 5 users will start getting 4G LTE coverage? Or will the iPhones sold in April 12th from T-Mobile have a different bandwidth to support existing 4G LTE T-Mobile bandwidths?
  • When does my Straight Talk Uncap your 3G speeds? Hello sorry about the vague question but I have only had Straight Talk for about a month and I want to know when they stop capping your data? What I mean is I wet over my 2GB limit on 3G using my iPhone 4 last month and it says it only allows 2GB of full 3G speeds but that month is already over and it still capping my data? Why? Any help would be good! I just want to know how I could get my full 3G speeds back!

  • What are Straight Talk's data speeds? I have bought an unlocked iPhone 5, and I was about to buy the Straight Talk sim, but then I realized that I didn't know their data speeds. I was surprised to learn that NOWHERE do they post their data speeds. I emailed them a week ago, and because of the half-baked customer service, they haven't replied. Anyway, does anyone know what their data speeds are, or at least have experience with them?
